Goodbye Spirit Bird

Behind the scenes:

This brief asked me to represent the recent passing on of a dear friend of the client. The theme we chose for?the brief was ‘Goodbye Spirit Bird,’ as a farewell to Tony. Tony was a creative soul, who loved working with children and giving his time and love to charity.

>Myopia:
Tony; we salute your spirit, and we honour your ascension. Goodbye, Spirit Bird. Fly far and stay near.

Splintering Midgard

Behind the scenes:

This brief only stated the theme or title of the exhibition I created this image for: “The Third Dimension”.

Myopia:

In Norse mythology, Midgard literally means “the middle enclosure.” It is the world of human civilization, the realm of fields and fences. To splinter it would mean to break free of the limitations (fences) of Midgard, wether that describe traveling to dimensions other than the known physical, or psychologically setting yourself free of what the third has limited you with.

Eat The World

Behind the scenes:

Illustrated phrase
For this project of illustrated type the brief required both the illustration of a phrase. The words must be illustrated as a corresponding visual image and this visual image must serve the purpose of depicting the words at hand. I chose to illustrate the the phrase ‘eat the world.’

>Myopia:

“Freud was a hero. He descended to the Underworld and met there stark terrors. He carried with him his theory as a Medusa’s head which turned these terrors to stone.”
